Stefanos Tsitsipas stunned Novak Djokovic with a 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 win at the Shanghai Masters. Novak Djokovic was considered top but Stefanos Tsitsipas turned the tables.
He had the physical strength and the calm needed to defeat the Serbian player and qualify to the semi-final of Shangai Masters.
Djokovic was in great shape in the beginning and it looked like it was going to be a routine match, after he broke Tsitsipas’ first serve.
Tsitsipas was getting better game after game and set after set, though and that became clear in the court.
In the fourth game of the most deciding set, Tsitsipas stormed into 0-40 lead.
Djokovic couldn’t stand the pressure and broke at the third attempt.
Tsitsipas deprived his opponent of the chance to qualify and is now moving towards the semi-final.
