Tsitsipas controlled most of the baseline rallies on in their centre court clash, forcing Ramos-Vinolas to step out of his comfort zone and try to win points at the net.
Tsitsipas earned the lone break of the opening set at 3-2 and held his slight advantage to take the lead early.
He showed an impressive defense and managed to prevail in one hour and thirty-six minutes.
