لم يجلب العام الجديد أخبارًا سارة لخوان مارتن ديل بورتو. بعد ساعات قليلة من الترحيب بعام 2019 ، قال خوان مارتن ديل بورتو أنه لن يشارك في بطولة أستراليا المفتوحة في يناير.
تعرض ديل بورتو لإصابة بالغة في الركبة خلال مباراته مع بورنا كوريك في أكتوبر الماضي في بطولة شانغهاي ماسترز. كانت هذه آخر مباراة له في عام 2018. وخضع بعدها لعملية جراحية وأمضى معظم وقت إعداده فى فترة النقاهة. وعلى الرغم من أنه يشعر بشكل أفضل الآن، أعلن اللاعب الأرجنتيني في وقت سابق اليوم أنه ليس لديه الوقت الكافي للتحضير لأول بطولات الجراند سلام لهذا العام.
ديل بورتو صرح عبر صفحته الشخصية: “أتمنى أن يكون عام رائع في عام 2019. النقاهة تسير بشكل جيد وسأخبركم لاحقا عن ميعاد عودتي. للأسف، لن يحدث ذلك في أستراليا، سأفتقد بطولة أستراليا المفتوحة، لكنني سعيد بما احرزته من تقدم. سنه جديده سعيده! استمتعوا!”
The New Year hasn’t brought good news for Juan Martin Del Porto. Only few hours after we welcomed 2019, Juan Martin Del Porto tweeted that he won’t participate in the Australian Open this January.
Del Porto had a severe knee injury during his match with Borna Coric last October in the Shangai Masters tournament. This was his last game in 2018. He, later, underwent surgery and he spent much of his preparation time due to recovery. Even though he’s feeling much better now, the Argentinian player stated earlier today that he doesn’t have enough time to prepare for the first Grand Slam of the year.
Del Porto tweeted via his profile: “I hope you have a great 2019. Recovery is going great and I will tell you later where I will be making my comeback. Unfortunately, it won’t happen in Australia, I’ll miss you @AustralianOpen, but I’m happy with my progress. Happy New Year! Enjoy!”
