With new world championship season being just around the corner, teams presented their 2019 single-seaters. This time it was Mercede’s turn to reveal us the Mercedes-AMG F1 W10 EQ Power+, the single-seater that champion Lewis Hamilton and Valteri Bottas will drive.
By launching W10 Mercedes AMG F1 wants to continue being on the top of both the drivers and manufacturers for six years in a row! As you can see by the first photographs which have been published, colour combinations were kept. However, the new single-seater has a fresh design.
According to the head of the team Toto Wolff, all the teams start from zero this new season, although Wolff dropped several hints for the regulations’ changes, which he thinks that intend to hit his team’s domination:
«2019 will be a challenge for all of us, since the regulations have changed dramatically. Basically we have to start from zero and prove our worth anew, against our and, mainly, our competitors’ expectations. We start the season with zero grades, so we don’t take anything for granted and we don’t have any feelings or signs that we are ahead.
Actually, by changing the regulations for the new season, every team can go after the title, so we can see everyone as a potential threat. We do want to go to Barcelona and compare our simulations, so as to see if our predictions are on the right way. We will focus on us, improve our performance, hoping that we will be ready when the first race will start in Melbourne» Wolff stated.
