It’s an amazing evolution, compared to the first days of Formula 1, when the drivers used everyday casual clothes and even t-shirts! Undoubtedly, he who made a difference was Mike Hawthorn, World Champion in 1958, who took part in the races wearing a papillon, as if he was going to the opera!
