Tony Parker started playing for the Spurs as a kid who wanted to conquer the world.
18 years later, he’s retiring but he’s considered to have been one of the team’s Big Three.
Parker, 37, played for the Spurs for 17 seasons – all but his final one in the league, which he spent with the Charlotte Hornets – and retired after the 2018-19 season. In those 18 years, he made six All-Star teams, won four titles, and was the 2007 Finals MVP.

Together with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, he made the Spurs what it is today:
One of the best NBA organizations, if not the best.
Thanks to these three people, San Antonio has become a nonpareil team.
The other two members of the Spurs’ Big Three, Duncan and Ginobili (who both have already had their jerseys retired), gave emotional speeches on Parker’s behalf, as did head coach Gregg Popovich.
The Spurs made “Merci Tony” the theme of the night for celebrating the French-American player.
Parker had always been special. He had the blessing to be placed in an environment who could bring out the best in him. His relationship with Duncan and Ginobili flourished outside the court.
These three became like brothers and now their jerseys can be found on the court’s roof, one next to the other.
Parker went down in history. He’s soon to be found in the Hall of Fame.
